The championship is won .... Raise you voices and shout hurray. What a match what a showdown, wow. HEC came to win and in some instances willing to win at all costs ,hard tackles, hard ball and extraordinary tenacity, they came to the plate to play and brought their A game. It was apparent from the start that we surely had a game on our hands because it looked evenly matched, in essence it was a 50/50 game. JFC felt the pressure and it took a little longer for a team in such blistering form to find their groove. When the passing game failed to yield result they quickly changed tactic and used the high press hoping to capitalize on mistakes and true to book because of the hard tackling by HEC they conceded a free kick in a dangerous area which was taken well to find Tawanda Doka waiting in space to finish with an exceptional header to register the first goal of the match. It wasn't pretty as normal but the high pressing was paying off and soon a series of corners ensued taken by Thanda Pede who scored a beauty of a goal right from the corner.
Then the 2nd half began and all hell broke loose, Benard Chipanera who was playing a little further up than his normal position started turning and creatively finding pockets of space controlling the midfield after the midfield, 4 changes were made in substitution which brought on the Captain Carlton Nyamubarwa, Takudzwa Madziyire, strikers Farai Bosha and Brian Muganda oh my word the captain just brought in some passing flare and before long the defense were connecting with the midfielders in a way you can only marvel and wonder at. My goodness Takudzwa was showboating yet creating so many plays it was entertaining and confused the opponents who were now being forced to run around chasing the ball or just forced to watch as JFC kept possession and created some of the best football seen this whole season. The play became so incredible that goals started to rain, Brian Muganda lobbed an impossible goal everyone thought it would go over the cross bar. In he short while he added another, now it spurred on the top goalscorer Farai Bosha to capitalize on the confuse defense to add a couple of his own goals. As the team began to play for the fun of it just enjoying themselves making great passes and darts but no longer as hungry to score the Bishop shouted that he wanted one more goal, when there was no response Raphael Mamombe took it upon himself to respond to the call... He showed why he could just be recognised as the most illustrious player in the league by some incredible display of individual effort, receiving the ball in the attacking third of the pitch he went past 4 HEC players one by one and as they clustered around him in the box he deftly evaded another series of tackles and unleashed a right footed thunderous shot which the goalkeeper could only watch in despair.
And so concluded the match with a glorious goal taking the tally to 7 and settling the title race without a doubt.
